Industrial mineral packaging fabric passes through two opposite thermal stages. Before lamination, the substrate is preheated to reduce surface moisture and prepare it for contact with molten resin. After PE or PP is pressed onto the fabric, water-cooled rollers reduce the coating temperature before rewinding.
This Preheating and Water-Cooling Film Coating Machine has three Ø350 mm preheating rollers and two water-cooled lamination units for controlling the thermal path from substrate preparation to coated-roll production.
The machine provides automatic temperature control, but the actual settings must be established according to the substrate, resin, line speed and coating thickness.
After unwinding, the PP woven substrate passes through double-sided brush cleaning and then enters the preheating section.
Preheating is used to:
The line has three Ø350 mm preheating rollers with automatic temperature controllers and thermocouples. The settings must remain within the allowable temperature conditions of the substrate.
After molten PE or PP is applied through the die, the coated fabric enters the lamination roller group.
| Cooling component | Specification | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Mirror-finish chill roller | Ø600 mm | Double-jacket spiral water cooling |
| Silicone roller | Ø280 mm | Water cooled and used during pressing |
| Pressing roller | Ø210 mm | Water cooled and maintains contact |
| Water-supply system | 0.3 m³/min total | Supplies the cooling sections |
| Rotary joints | 2 inch and 1½ inch | Connect rotating rollers to the water circuit |
Insufficient cooling may allow hot coated fabric to enter the rewinder. Uneven or excessive cooling may also affect the operating condition. Water temperature, flow, roller surface and line speed should be evaluated together.
| Observed condition | Possible inspection direction |
|---|---|
| Variable contact between coating and substrate | Preheating, resin temperature and pressing |
| Moisture entering the lamination section | Preheating temperature and contact time |
| Uneven coating surface after cooling | Water flow and chill-roller condition |
| Layers sticking after rewinding | Coating temperature at the rewinder |
| Insufficient cooling at higher speed | Balance between line speed and cooling capacity |
| Different coating condition across the width | Die temperature, pressing and cooling uniformity |
| Fluctuating roller temperature | Water circuit, rotary joints and controls |
No fixed preheating, resin-processing or web-exit temperature is provided. Unsupported temperature values should not be added to the product page.
The machine applies single- or double-sided PE or PP extrusion coating to woven fabric used for industrial mineral powder, mineral granules, inorganic fillers and metallurgical auxiliary materials. The preheating rollers prepare the substrate before coating, while the water-cooled lamination rollers cool the layer after pressing. The finished rolls can proceed to printing, cutting and sewing. Moisture resistance, airtightness, powder containment and chemical compatibility must be confirmed through coating and finished-bag testing.

Before defining the preheating and cooling settings, the buyer should provide:
No. The setting must be selected according to the substrate, resin and line speed.
No. Substrate condition, resin temperature, coating thickness and pressing conditions also affect lamination.
It should be rechecked because a speed change alters the contact time with the preheating and cooling rollers.
No. It coats and rewinds the fabric. Printing, cutting and sewing require downstream equipment.
