Product Description

0–14 mm Adjustable-Stitch FIBC Sewing Machine for Multi-Layer Bag Body Seaming

Why Multi-Layer Bag Seams Require Adjustable Stitch Length

The side joints, top hems, and bottom connections of an FIBC may contain different numbers of fabric layers. One stitch length may not be suitable for every seam. The DS9800 FIBC Sewing Machine therefore provides a 0–14 mm adjustable stitch range for matching the fabric structure, sewing thread, and seam position.

A longer stitch is not automatically better. Increasing the stitch length reduces the number of needle penetrations per unit length, while a shorter setting creates more penetration points in the woven fabric. The final setting should be determined through seam requirements and sample sewing.

Settings for Different Bag-Body Areas

Side seams generally join two or more layers of PP woven fabric. Folded edges may contain additional layers, while reinforced sections can include separate reinforcement fabric.

Before setting the machine, the operator should identify the maximum overlapping thickness and then select the needle, thread, and stitch length. For coated woven fabric, sample sewing should also evaluate needle holes, material feeding, layer movement, and seam appearance.

Stitch Adjustment Working with Compound Feed

The DS9800 uses an upper-and-lower compound-feed mechanism to move both sides of the multilayer material during sewing. This configuration is suitable for long bag-body seams and areas where the material thickness changes.

Its large shuttle hook and increased bobbin-thread capacity support heavy-thread industrial sewing and reduce the need for frequent bobbin replacement during long seams. The actual sewing cycle depends on thread size, stitch length, and total seam length.

Application

This FIBC Sewing Machine is mainly used for multilayer bag-body joining, side seams, top hemming, bottom connections, and local reinforcement-fabric stitching. Its 0–14 mm adjustable stitch length supports production lines that require different stitch settings at different seam positions. Load-bearing areas such as lifting-loop joints should still be evaluated according to the bag structure, specified stitch pattern, and applicable test requirements.

Conditions to Confirm Before Sample Sewing

FAQ

1. Does the 0–14 mm range mean every seam can use a 14 mm stitch?

No. The 14 mm value is the maximum stitch length. The working setting depends on the fabric layers, thread size, and seam requirements.

2. Can this machine sew coated PP woven fabric?

Yes, but the actual coated material should be tested to evaluate needle holes, feeding performance, and movement between layers.

3. What should be checked when sewing multilayer bag fabric?

Buyers should confirm the maximum overlapping thickness, needle size, thread specification, stitch length, and feeding condition. Load-bearing seams should also be checked against the bag design and relevant test requirements.
