Product Description

1000kg 200 G/M² Coated Baffle FIBC Bulk Bag For Wheat Flour Mills

1. Product Description

This coated baffle FIBC bulk bag is designed primarily for finished flour filling, internal handling, warehouse storage and bulk transportation in wheat flour mills. It has a finished size of 110 × 110 × 120 cm. The body, top and bottom panels use 200 g/m² white inner-coated fabric, while four internal baffles help control lateral expansion after filling.

A top filling spout, bottom discharge spout and four lifting loops allow the bag to work with compatible flour-filling, lifting and discharge equipment. The required filling weight must be determined according to flour bulk density, the intended load and a verified safe working load.

2. Specific Applications in Wheat Flour Mills

The coated baffle FIBC bulk bag can be used in the following flour-processing and packaging applications:

  • Finished wheat flour packaging: Bulk filling of bread flour, all-purpose flour, cake flour and similar flour products.
  • Bread flour packaging: Supply of bulk bread flour to industrial bakeries.
  • Cake flour packaging: Handling of compatible low-protein flour and fine cake flour.
  • Special-purpose flour packaging: Packaging of noodle flour, steamed-bread flour and other formulated flour products.
  • Internal mill handling: Transfer of finished flour from production areas to storage or batching areas.
  • Industrial bakery supply: Delivery of bulk flour to bread, cake and other bakery production lines.
  • Top filling operations: Connection to compatible flour-filling equipment through the filling spout.
  • Bottom discharge operations: Controlled discharge above mixers, batching systems or processing equipment.
  • Palletized storage: Applications requiring a more controlled filled-bag profile.
  • Container transportation: Bulk flour shipments requiring better control of bag bulging and container arrangement.

3. Structural Design for Flour Packaging

The bag contains four 57 × 100 cm internal baffles. These baffles help limit excessive outward expansion after filling and maintain a more controlled bag profile for pallet arrangement and warehouse planning.

Each baffle has four evenly distributed 10 × 30 cm oval openings. These openings allow flour to flow between the internal sections and help reduce uneven filling on either side of the baffles. The final bag shape will also depend on flour bulk density, moisture content, filling speed and filling weight.

Double seams and cotton filler cord are specified at key body connections. The inner coating helps reduce direct powder penetration into the woven fabric structure. However, the bag should not be described as completely leakproof or airtight without applicable leakage test results.

5. How to Select an FIBC for a Wheat Flour Mill

  1. Identify the flour type

Confirm whether the material is standard wheat flour, bread flour, cake flour, special-purpose flour or blended flour.

  2. Provide the bulk density

Actual flour bulk density is required to match the bag volume with the intended filling weight. Bag dimensions alone cannot determine the safe load.

  3. Confirm the target filling weight

Select a bag with a tested SWL and safety factor corresponding to the required net weight. The current production sheet does not specify a load capacity.

  4. Check the filling-equipment connection

The standard filling spout is Ø50 × 60 cm. Its diameter, length and closing system should match the mill’s filling equipment.

  5. Determine the discharge method

The standard discharge spout is Ø45 × 45 cm. Outlet dimensions may need adjustment if the flour tends to bridge or if a specific discharge rate is required.

  6. Define powder-leakage requirements

Inner-coated fabric helps reduce powder penetration, but fine flour may require sift-resistant seams or a separate PE liner.

  7. Verify food-contact compliance

Confirm the required food-contact reports for the destination market. Food-grade production and light-table inspection do not independently demonstrate FDA, EU 10/2011 or BRCGS compliance.

  8. Check pallet and container dimensions

Match the bag dimensions to the pallet size, stacking arrangement and available container space.

  9. Confirm lifting-equipment compatibility

Check that the forklift dimensions and lifting height are compatible with the four 7 × 160 cm lifting loops.

  10. Evaluate storage conditions

The sheet specifies a 1% UV additive, but no UV-ageing duration is provided. Outdoor exposure time and moisture protection must be confirmed separately.
