Ore materials differ in bulk density, particle size, edge profile, dust content and moisture condition. A Mineral FIBC Bulk Bag should therefore not be selected only through a general “ton bag” description.
This custom mineral FIBC uses a base configuration of 90 × 90 × 90 cm, a specified load capacity of 1200 kg, 180 g/m² uncoated fabric and four side-seam lifting loops.
The final order can be defined according to the material, target weight, filling equipment, discharge method and transport environment.
Any change should receive technical confirmation to prevent the body dimensions, lifting loops or filling design from becoming incompatible with the customer’s operation.
| Custom item | Information required from the buyer | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Body dimensions | Bulk density, target weight and size limit | Match material volume and storage space |
| Target load | Net filling weight and number of uses | Define the body and testing requirements |
| Fabric configuration | Particle size, sharp edges and dust | Match the physical material condition |
| Coating or liner | Moisture and leakage requirements | Provide an additional barrier where required |
| Filling top | Filling outlet and process | Match manual or mechanical filling |
| Bag bottom | Discharge equipment and flow requirement | Support one-time or controlled discharge |
| Loop length | Forklift, hook or lifting-beam dimensions | Match the lifting equipment |
| Loop position | Lifting method and filled shape | Define the equipment connection |
| Label content | Ore, grade, batch and net weight | Support warehouse identification |
| Printing | Customer mark and handling information | Meet order-identification requirements |
| Packing method | Bags per package and pallet requirements | Support transport management |
| Testing | Safety factor, application and market | Define evidence and documents |
The available production sheet does not specify a filling or discharge spout. The top and bottom are therefore important items to confirm before production.
For dry ore with a relatively consistent particle size, provide the bulk density and maximum particle dimensions first.
The required material volume can then be compared with the base dimensions of 90 × 90 × 90 cm.
Where the particles have sharp edges, a representative filling trial should inspect abrasion and local puncture risks. The 180 g/m² fabric weight alone cannot establish suitability.
A high-density mineral may reach 1200 kg before the body is completely filled. Filling should be controlled by weight rather than by visual volume.
Where the customer requires a different net weight, the dimensions, lifting structure and complete-bag testing should be reviewed. The capacity should not be changed only in the product label.
Fine powder may escape through woven gaps or sewing needle holes. The standard uncoated construction may not provide the required dust control.
The buyer should provide a particle-size range and permitted leakage level. Coated fabric, a PE liner or sift-resistant seams can then be evaluated.
Uncoated fabric has no verified waterproof or water-vapour barrier performance.
A liner, coating, closable top or external weather protection may be required for damp material, hygroscopic minerals or outdoor transport.

These are the available base specifications. Changing the capacity, dimensions, fabric or lifting loops requires a new review of the complete construction and testing requirements.
State the ore name, physical form, bulk density, particle-size range, moisture content and information about sharp edges.
“Ore” or “industrial mineral” alone is too broad to define the dimensions, coating and liner.
Specify the filling-outlet size, forklift tine dimensions, lifting method and discharge equipment.
The effective loop length, top and bottom should match the actual equipment rather than a general product image.
Provide the transport distance, outdoor-handling conditions, storage period, stacking method and expected humidity.
The standard uncoated body may require modification where rain or long-term high humidity is expected.
The label can identify the mineral, particle grade, production batch, net weight and purchase-order number.
Customer logos, handling information and other printed content require final artwork, colours and printing positions.
Confirm whether the bag is intended for single-trip or repeat use and whether a safety factor, UN approval or another standard is required.
The current information does not establish 5:1, 6:1 or UN performance. These requirements need the corresponding complete-bag tests and documents.
Dimensions can be evaluated according to material volume and equipment conditions, but they cannot be changed independently of the load and construction.
A dimensional change requires a new review of the fabric, seams, loops and filled shape.
A PE liner can be evaluated for minerals requiring additional moisture or fine-powder control.
The liner thickness, dimensions, fixing method and top design should match the material and filling system.
The loop configuration can be evaluated according to forklift tines, hooks or lifting beams.
Cutting length, sewn-in length and effective free height must be distinguished to ensure equipment compatibility.
The top and bottom should be specified according to the filling and discharge equipment. The base production sheet does not define either spout.
Provide the equipment-interface dimensions, required discharge rate and closure method.
No. Changes to dimensions, loops or openings do not automatically establish a certification result.
UN approval or a defined safety factor requires the appropriate construction and complete-bag testing.
