Product Description

1000kg 5:1 Fertilizer Chemical Bag with Filling and Discharge Spouts

Problem

For urea, compound fertilizer and other fertilizer granules, a 1000kg bulk bag must do more than simply carry the required weight.

Buyers also need to consider how the bag connects to filling equipment, how it is lifted after filling and how the fertilizer will be discharged at the destination.

A bag with sufficient load capacity but without suitable filling and discharge structures may still require additional manual handling.

For fertilizer packaging, the FIBC should therefore support the complete process from filling and lifting to storage and discharge.

Cause

Fertilizer granules are commonly transferred into FIBCs through centralized filling equipment.

If the filling spout does not match the equipment outlet, clamping and material transfer can become difficult.

The same consideration applies to discharge.

A completely closed bag bottom may require the bag to be cut when fertilizer needs to be transferred into a hopper, conveyor or downstream processing system.

At the same time, approximately 1000kg of packed material creates significant load on the fabric, lifting loops and bag structure.

Professional evaluation should therefore consider SWL, safety factor and fabric strength together rather than focusing only on the “1 Ton” description.

Solution

This fertilizer Chemical FIBC is specified for a 1000kg working load with a 5:1 safety factor.

The bag body uses 160g/m² white coated fabric, while minimum warp and weft fabric strength are both specified at ≥1700N.

These values provide three different technical references: working load, safety factor and measurable fabric strength.

A φ45 × 50cm top filling spout provides the inlet for urea, compound fertilizer and similar fertilizer granules.

After filling, the opening can be closed with a 25cm tie.

A φ45 × 50cm bottom discharge spout provides a defined outlet for fertilizer after transportation or storage.

Four lifting loops measuring 5 × 165cm are positioned around the bag for common forklift and lifting operations.

Filling

The φ45 × 50cm top filling spout is designed as the main material inlet during fertilizer packaging.

Urea and fertilizer granules can be transferred through the spout from bulk filling equipment into the FIBC.

After the target filling weight is reached, the 25cm tie can be used to close the filling spout.

For automatic or semi-automatic packaging lines, the filling pipe diameter and bag-clamping system should be checked before production.

The correct filling spout size should match the actual equipment rather than simply using the largest possible opening.

Discharge

The bottom discharge spout also measures φ45 × 50cm.

After transportation or warehouse storage, the bag can be positioned above a hopper, conveyor or other receiving system and the fertilizer can be released through the bottom outlet.

This configuration is particularly useful for fertilizer packaging processes that include filling, transportation, storage and controlled unloading.

Actual discharge behavior still depends on fertilizer particle size, moisture condition and flowability.

Materials with a strong tendency to cake or bridge may require a different discharge-spout configuration.

Strength

The 1000kg working load should not be evaluated as an isolated number.

This product also specifies a 5:1 safety factor and minimum ≥1700N warp and weft fabric strength.

These measurable values provide a more useful technical basis than simply describing the bag as “high strength.”

The 160g/m² coated body fabric works together with the four lifting loops and other structural components to form the overall FIBC configuration.

The 5:1 safety factor does not mean that the bag should be filled with 5000kg. Its specified working load remains 1000kg.

Baffle

Four internal baffles measuring 54 × 100cm are installed inside the bag.

The baffles provide additional internal restraint when a large quantity of fertilizer is loaded into the FIBC.

This helps control excessive outward expansion of the bag body and is relevant for applications where filled bag shape is important during handling or storage.

Without specific test data, however, the product should not claim a fixed percentage improvement in storage or container utilization.

Seam

Key connections between the bag body, top and bottom use double-needle chain stitching.

Cotton sealing strips are also applied at specified seam positions, including defined construction around the filling and discharge sections.

These details can be used to explain how critical seams are constructed.

However, without a verified sift-proof test or leakage classification, the product should not be promoted as a guaranteed “100% leak-proof FIBC.”

Application

This 1000kg 5:1 Chemical FIBC is mainly intended for bulk packaging of urea, compound fertilizer and similar fertilizer granules, especially in fertilizer production and packaging processes that require top connection to filling equipment, four-loop lifting after filling, warehouse or transport handling, and controlled bottom discharge into hoppers, conveyors or downstream processing equipment.

FAQ

1. How much fertilizer is this bag designed to carry?

The specified working load is 1000kg with a 5:1 safety factor.

It should therefore be positioned for approximately 1000kg fertilizer and urea bulk packaging applications.

2. Why is a top filling spout used?

The top filling spout provides a defined connection between the FIBC and bulk filling equipment.

This product uses a φ45 × 50cm filling spout with a 25cm tie for closing the opening after filling.

3. What is the benefit of a bottom discharge spout?

The bottom discharge spout provides a direct route for releasing fertilizer from the bag.

It is useful when the packed material needs to be transferred into a hopper, conveyor or downstream production system.

4. Does a 5:1 safety factor mean the bag can carry 5000kg?

No.

The rated working load remains 1000kg. The 5:1 value is the specified safety factor and should not be interpreted as the actual filling capacity.

5. Why are ≥1700N warp and weft values useful?

These values provide measurable mechanical strength data for the base fabric.

They allow professional buyers to evaluate fabric performance together with the 160g/m² material weight and 1000kg working load instead of relying on a general “high-strength” claim.

6. Can this FIBC be used for hazardous chemicals?

The current specification does not provide UN hazardous-goods certification or other hazardous chemical packaging data.

The product should therefore be positioned for urea, fertilizer and similar general industrial bulk materials rather than certified hazardous chemical applications.
